A new online channel dedicated to horse sports will launch in the Republic of Ireland on February 5.
Irish Horse TV will offer coverage of flat and jump racing, showjumping, eventing, dressage and other equestrian disciplines.
The channel will be operated by online streaming company Kildare TV, which has previously established dedicated online channels for Gaelic sports clubs.
The Horse Racing Ireland and Horse Sport Ireland national governing bodies are founding partners in the channel.
“We have been working hard for the last two years in a bid to bring all of the elements together,” Irish Horse TV managing director Len Regan said. “We are very pleased that we could bring all of the relevant stakeholders together to essentially promote and celebrate the very best of the Irish horse racing and sport horse industries. We are delighted that horse racing and sport horses will both be represented on the channel, which will deliver a wide range of programmes to promote Ireland’s image as the ‘land of the horse’.”
