NFL hands senior role to Bell Media’s Turcke

The NFL American football league has appointed Mary Ann Turcke, a former executive at Canadian telecommunications company Bell Media, as president of digital media and the NFL Network.

Turcke will assume responsibility for leading the operations of the league’s NFL Network cable-television channel, as well as all NFL-owned and operated media assets, including NFL Films, NFL Digital and NFL.com.

Based at the league’s Los Angeles office in California, Turcke will also oversee digital product development.

Turcke joins the NFL having served as president of the Bell Media division of Bell Canada since April 2015, prior to which she was group president of media sales, local television and radio at the company.

Turcke also had a spell as executive vice-president of field operations at Bell Canada, where she oversaw the creation and management of Bell Canada’s telecommunications services.
