Dutch public-service broadcaster NOS has acquired rights to the Uefa Euro 2020 national team football tournament.
The agreement covers all platforms, including internet, mobile and on-demand rights. Euro 2020 will be a special edition of the tournament with hosting rights spread across Europe.
The Dutch city of Amsterdam will host four games during the group stage and Round of 16 phase.
NOS director Jan de Jong said: “This past summer has once again demonstrated the power of this tournament. Even without the Dutch team, the European Championships in France scored excellent ratings.”
He added: “The time that NOS could broadcast all sports is over, but the most important sport is still with us. The Olympics, the (Fifa) World Cup and now also the 2020 European Championship.”
