North American sports broadcaster One World Sports has expanded its distribution network in the US by signing carriage deals with three new affiliate partners.
New Jersey-based cable-television business Service Electric Broadband Cable, telecommunications company Hotwire Communications in Pennsylvania, and Alaska-based integrated telco GCI have all signed carriage deals with One World Sports.
One World Sports will now provide 2,600 hours annually of exclusive coverage of live sports events from around the world to more viewers in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. The agreement with GCI ensures that coverage will also be expanded to Alaska for the first time.
In addition, One World Sports has completed the authentication process for current affiliate, telco RCN Telecom Services. RCN subscribers can now access One World Sports content via TV Everywhere as well as the broadcaster’s Watch One World Sports mobile application.
Content on offer through One World Sports includes coverage of the Kontinental Hockey League and Champions Hockey League ice hockey competitions, as well as the North American Soccer League.
