Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF has acquired rights to the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament.
ORF’s general director Alexander Wrabetz said the rights have been purchased for a fee that is “within our means and economically feasible.”
Austria stands a strong chance of qualifying for next year’s tournament in France. The national team is top of its qualifying group with 10 points from four games, ahead of Sweden, Russia, Montenegro, Liechtenstein and Moldova.
