Greek pay-television broadcaster OTE has said it will launch two new sports channels.
OTE Sport 6HD is available immediately and will feature programming from across the broadcaster’s sports rights portfolio. OTE Sport Highlights HD will launch in December featuring highlights of all the sporting properties held by OTE.
The broadcaster said its sixth and seventh sports channels have been launched ahead of the arrival of Uefa club football rights from July 2015.
OTE last month signed a three-year deal for Champions League and Europa League rights, spanning the 2015-16 to 2017-18 seasons, with the Team Marketing agency, the rights distribution partner of football’s European governing body.
OTE will succeed rival pay-television broadcaster Nova as the rights-holder to the two competitions in the Greek market.
