The Pitch International agency has signed a three-year extension to its international broadcast rights deal with Premiership Rugby, the governing body of the top division of English rugby union.
Pitch will represent the Premiership Rugby and Premiership Rugby 7s international television rights in all markets outside of the UK and Ireland until the end of the 2015-16 season.
Premiership Rugby has had a relationship with Pitch since 2004, a partnership that has helped grow the international presence of the competition to a point where Saturday’s 2013 Premiership final was broadcast in over 100 territories.
The agency will now work to further increase international exposure and revenue for Premiership Rugby, as well as continue to build the brand on a global level.
Dominic Hayes, Premiership Rugby's commercial director, said: “Crucially the new deal ensures an increase in revenue and exposure. We know that Pitch are committed to building the Premiership Rugby brand around the world.”
