It is understood that the talks are now on hold until chief executive Richard Scudamore returns from holiday. The absence of any awards thus far suggests that there were no knock-out first round offers.
The three sets of rights generate a combined £135 million (€153 million) over three years in the present round of deals, which expire in May 2010. Near-live rights are currently shared between pay-broadcaster BSkyB and British Telecom, mobile rights are held by BSkyB and internet clip rights by Virgin.
