Premier League in no rush over remaining rights

It is understood that the talks are now on hold until chief executive Richard Scudamore returns from holiday. The absence of any awards thus far suggests that there were no knock-out first round offers.

The three sets of rights generate a combined £135 million (€153 million) over three years in the present round of deals, which expire in May 2010. Near-live rights are currently shared between pay-broadcaster BSkyB and British Telecom, mobile rights are held by BSkyB and internet clip rights by Virgin.
