Pay-television broadcaster Proximus and commercial broadcaster RTL have renewed rights deals in Belgium for football’s Uefa Champions League.
The agreements will run for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21.
Proximus will continue to show live coverage of every game from the competition, with its Multi Live service allowing matches to be shown simultaneously.
The coverage will be available as part of Proximus’ International Sports and All Sports packages.
RTL, which has been showing coverage of the league since 2000, will provide coverage across its television, website, mobile and social channels.
RTL added that it had opted against submitting a bid to retain rights for the Uefa Europa League tournament in light of its Champions League rights renewal “for obvious cost reasons”.
The Team Marketing agency is brokering rights deals for competitions operated by Uefa, football’s European governing body.
