Italy’s communications industry regulator AGCOM has called on multi-platform subscription broadcaster DAZN to take steps to ensure no further malfunctions during its coverage of football’s Serie A amid difficulties encountered by some customers.

The 2021-22 Serie A season commenced DAZN’s reign as the league’s main domestic rights-holder. Following the opening round of fixtures in August, DAZN apologised for difficulties faced by some subscribers but maintained its “absolute and unconditional” commitment to revolutionising coverage of Italian football.
