Digital media company Remark Media has acquired official digital distribution rights to the Clash in Cotai boxing event headlined by Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Brandon Rios, and has announced it will create China’s first boxing channel in association with Chinese online television service provider PPTV.
Las Vegas-headquartered Remark Media is distributing the Clash in Cotai live to consumers in greater China, with platform partner PPTV, and in South Korea with platform partner UStream Korea.
Remark Media said the new Boxing Channel will be distributed on PPTV’s platform.
The Boxing Channel will feature live boxing events, documentaries, feature films, interviews, analysis and highlights from the boxing world. The Clash in Cotai will be the channel’s inaugural event.
Clash in Cotai is co-promoted by Top Rank and Venetian Cotai, and will take place on November 24 in Macao.
The Pacquiao-Rios card features Evgeny Gradovich versus Billy Dib as main support, unbeaten heavyweight Andy Ruiz against Tor Hamer, and the third professional outing for two-time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming, the most decorated Chinese boxer in history.
