Road cycling’s RideLondon Classique has been provisionally demoted from the UCI Women’s WorldTour to the second-tier ProSeries after organisers failed to provide the necessary level of live broadcast coverage.

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has intervened after live coverage of this year’s race was only provided on the third and final day. Only highlights of the first two days were broadcast domestically by the BBC and made available to international broadcasters.
