The creators of the Rojadirecta platform will stand trial with regard to piracy allegations from LaLiga, the organising body of the top two divisions of Spanish club football, and the Mediapro agency.

A judge found sufficient evidence of criminal offences and the court will set a further date for trial.

The judge set bail at €4m ($4.5m) for Igor Seoane, the creator of Rojadirecta.com, which prosecutors claim has earned large revenues through advertising sales on the site, on which properties held or marketed by LaLiga, Canal Plus and others has been available free of charge since 2000.
