German commercial broadcaster RTL has acquired rights for German national football team qualifiers ahead of the Uefa Euro 2020 and 2022 Fifa World Cup tournaments.
The live rights cover 28 of 40 Germany games between 2018 and 2022, including the new Uefa Nations League competition.
RTL will pay an average rights fee of between €4m ($4.5m) and €5m per game, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper.
RTL already has rights for 10 Germany qualifiers ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The CAA Eleven agency has been selling rights for the Uefa qualifiers package.
