The SABC, South Africa’s public-service broadcaster, is set to launch its own video streaming service in 2022, marking its late entry into the over-the-top streaming sector.
Bongumusa Makhathini, SABC’s board chairperson, revealed plans to launch the BBC iPlayer-style video streaming service before March 31, 2022, talking to the Media & Society programme on SABC News earlier this week.
