Turkish media group Saran Media has acquired domestic rights to League of Legends esports events.
The agreement with the Turkish division of League of Legends developer Riot Games, terms of which were not disclosed, includes Turkey’s domestic League of Legends competition, the first such professional esports league in the country.
Saran’s pay-television channel S Sport will broadcast live coverage from the competition, along with highlights and magazine programming.
S Sport will also broadcast the 2017 League of Legends World Championship, which will take place in the Chinese cities of Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing from September 23 to November 4.
