SBS in deal for delayed coverage of Australian World Cup qualifier

Australian public-service broadcaster SBS has acquired delayed rights to the national football team’s away World Cup qualifying match against Jordan this afternoon, Wednesday, September 11.

SBS agreed a sub-licensing deal with rights-holder, Fox Sports, to show the match on a one-hour delay.

The arrangement was struck following talks between the two broadcasters and Football Federation Australia, the sport’s national governing body.
