Primetime slot grants SBS strong ratings for Australian World Cup win

Australia’s first Fifa World Cup win in 12 years pulled in huge ratings for public-service broadcaster SBS on Saturday.

The game against Tunisia, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Australia, kicked off at an Australian-friendly time of 9pm (AEDT) and pulled in 1.03 million metro viewers alone, according to figures from OzTAM, the Australian audience measurement company.
