Fédération Française d’Athlétisme, the governing body of athletics in France, has awarded exclusive rights to Altice and the telecommunications company’s subsidiary, SFR.
SFR will show coverage of the federation’s events and national teams.
The deal will run through to the 2020 summer Olympic Games and will cover television, online and radio platforms.
The federation said that SFR was selected after four companies submitted bids during the tender process.
Earlier this month, Altice said it would appeal against a decision by French stock market regulator the AMF to block its deal to secure full control of SFR.
