Chinese social network Sina Weibo has struck a deal to stream live coverage of NFL American football games.
According to the NFL, Sina Weibo will provide coverage in China of the final Sunday Night Football game of the regular-season campaign in Week 17, as well as three play-off games and the Super Bowl, in addition to six regular-season games that have already been streamed over the past two weekends.
Under the deal, Sina Weibo will also be able to show out-of-game clips on demand, plus highlights and other NFL footage.
The deal will run until the end of the current campaign, but NFL China managing director Richard Young said that he is confident that the agreement “will be a valuable long-term partnership for the NFL.”
