UK pay-TV broadcaster Sky Sports has acquired exclusive rights in the UK and Ireland to the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) T20 competition.

Sky secured the rights from Indian media group Viacom18, which earlier this year agreed a deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India for exclusive global linear and digital rights to the tournament for five years, from 2023-27.
