UK pay-television broadcasters Sky and BT Sport have extended rights deals for coverage of the Scottish Professional Football League’s Premiership.
The new rights agreement for live coverage of the top-tier Premiership will run for three years, from 2017-18 to 2019-20.
The two broadcasters already had rights to share live coverage of up to 30 live Premiership games per season through to the end of the 2016-17 campaign in deals worth a total of £15m (€20.6m/$23m) per year.
Under the new arrangement, BT Sport will show up to six additional play-off matches live per season, with the total rights fee rising by £3.75m per year, according to the Daily Record newspaper.
