Pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland has secured the exclusive live rights in Germany for the Formula E Championship, the new electric motor-racing series operated by the FIA, motorsport’s global governing body.
The length of the deal was not disclosed but beginning with the opening round in Beijing on September 13, Sky Deutschland will show all 2014-15 races live under an agreement that also includes internet, IPTV and mobile rights.
Race highlights from the series will be available free of charge via the sky.de/mediathek website.
Formula E has 10 rounds scheduled for its inaugural run, concluding in London on June 27 next year. Berlin will host Germany’s round of the championship on May 30.
