Production and media rights agency Mediapro will handle the production of all matches from the 2020-21 season of baseball’s Mexican Pacific League (LMP), with pay-television broadcaster Sky Mexico to air the matches.
Mediapro said that the forthcoming season will be the first in the history of televised Mexican professional sport to have standardised production across every game.
Mediapro stated: “The Mexican Pacific League and Sky thus reaffirm their commitment to innovate and remain at the forefront of the latest technologies in order to provide fans with the best quality of baseball.”
Games from the LMP will be available on Sky’s linear platform as well as its budget subsidiary VeTV in both standard and high definition on both platforms. There will also be OTT access via Sky México’s Blue To Go platform.
The regular season of the forthcoming LMP will begin in two months’ time.
Mediapro will also produce every game from the 2021 Serie del Caribe, the top-tier Latin American baseball competition, as part of the deal.
Sky Mexico is available to audiences in its domestic market of Mexico and also to viewers across Latin America and the Caribbean.
