Pay-television broadcaster Sky New Zealand has agreed a landmark rights deal with the domestic National Basketball League ahead of the 2020 season.
Sky Sport will broadcast all 75 NBL games during the 2020 campaign, marking the first time it has provided such comprehensive coverage.
It will be the first time in the four-decade history of the semi-professional league that every game has been made available to viewers across New Zealand.
Coverage will be available through the Sky Sport Now streaming app, with games to also air on the Sky Sport Next channel.
The NBL’s ongoing partnership with media company Stuff will continue, with as many as 49 games to be streamed online at stuff.co.nz.
Sky Sport will also air two games a week from New Zealand’s top women’s league in 2020.
The Sky deal has been signed after Sal’s Authentic New York Pizza recently extended its naming-rights sponsorship of the competition.
