UK pay-television broadcaster BSkyB has extended a rights deal for golf events operated by the PGA Tour sanctioning body.
Sky said that the deal would start in 2015 and run for at least seven years, until 2022.
Under the deal, Sky will show live coverage of 32 events from the PGA Tour, the FedExCup Playoffs – comprising the Barclays and Deutsche Bank Championship in August and the BMW Championship and Tour Championship by Coca-Cola in September – and the next four editions of the Presidents Cup, which takes place between the US and an international team of players from outside Europe, in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021.
The agreement also includes live coverage of featured holes and groups with European players, plus highlights, via digital, online and mobile services.
Sky already has rights for the Ryder Cup, Masters, US Open and US PGA Championship this year, as well as 35 events from the PGA European Tour.
