UK pay-television broadcaster BSkyB will offer refunds to viewers who experienced problems in trying to access coverage of yesterday’s (Sunday’s) English Premier League football games on its Now TV internet streaming service.
“We'd like to apologise again for this afternoon's issues,” Sky said yesterday. “We're working as hard as we can to get things running as soon as possible. We'll be contacting all sports pass customers automatically to provide a refund or a replacement pass. You don't need to do anything to make this happen.”
Fans who had paid £9.99 (€12.24/$18.67) for a day pass to watch the action on Now TV faced screens saying that the service was unavailable. Subscribers also experienced problems in accessing coverage on mobile and tablet streaming service Sky Go.
