Cricket Ireland has struck a rights deal with pay-television broadcaster Sky to show live coverage of the national team’s inaugural Test match against Pakistan on May 11-15.
Irish public-service broadcaster RTÉ has also agreed a deal to show a one-hour highlights programme following each day of the Test, which will take place in Malahide near Dublin. The programme will be available on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player digital service.
Both broadcasters will also show the Twenty20 internationals between Ireland and India on June 27 and June 29.
Cricket Ireland has also signed up the Pitch International agency to distribute worldwide rights for the fixtures. The governing body said Pitch International has already agreed deals in the US, Canada, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, south Asia and Australia.
The coverage of the matches will be produced by ITW Consulting.
