Slovak Sport TV unveils expansion plans

Slovakian broadcaster Slovak Sport.TV will make its programming available online and plans to launch another free-to-air sports channel in the “near future,” according to the Telecom Paper and Zive news websites.

The online version of Slovak Sport TV will cost subscribers €3 ($3.96) per month, with access to a single sporting event costing €0.50.

The new channel will be called Slovak Sport TV 2 and will be available on free-to-air television, the report added.

Slovak Sport TV was launched in June 2012 and shows coverage of WTA women’s tennis, ATP World Tour men’s tennis and the English second-tier football club Championship, as well as other events.

 

UPDATE, 8 July 2013: Article previously referred to Slovak Sport.TV as being owned by public-service broadcaster Slovak Television. Slovak Sport.TV is actually privately owned.
