Spark New Zealand snaps up NBA deal

Digital services company Spark New Zealand has agreed a deal to offer discounted coverage of the North American National Basketball Association (NBA).

Under the deal, Spark will offer its home broadband customers a discount on the NBA League Pass and League Pass Premium subscriptions.

Spark will also conduct retail promotions to give fans the chance to win NBA-themed prizes.

Chris Quin, the chief executive of Spark’s home, mobile and business division, said: “We’re partnering with the NBA to make sure they can watch the games wherever and whenever they want on NBA League Pass over the Spark Network and we’re offering a discount while we’re at it.

"This partnership is part of our broader strategy to bring our customers more of what they want by forming long-term relationships with premium international brands.”
