The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), organising body of the top four divisions of the domestic game, has signed off an extension to its domestic rights deal with pay-television broadcaster Sky after securing the necessary backing from clubs.

The breakthrough came yesterday (Monday) ahead of a meeting between Premiership clubs and allows Sky to retain the rights to the Scottish Premiership for four more seasons. Live rights to the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) are also included for the first time.
