German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights to the 2015 International Champions Cup, along with a host of other pre-season football games.
The ICC this year adds new events in Australia and China to its established tournament in the United States. It will run from July 11 to August 5.
Although there are no German teams competing in the three competitions the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea will all take part, with Sport1 offering live coverage of 10 games.
Sport1 will also broadcast pre-season friendlies featuring Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen.
An all-star game between Bayern and Italian Serie A club Inter Milan will be broadcast on July 11, Dortmund’s clash against Juventus will be covered live on July 25 and Werder’s meeting with domestic 3. Liga outfit Hansa Rostock will be televised on July 7.
