German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired exclusive rights for the 2014 Hockey World Cup and 2014 Champions Trophy tournaments, both of which are operated by the FIH, the sport’s global governing body.
The deal with the FIH covers the men’s and women’s Hockey World Cup tournaments in The Hague in the Netherlands from May 31 to June 15.
The men’s Champions Trophy will run from December 13-21 in Bhubaneswar, India, following the women’s Champions Trophy from November 29 to December 7 in Mendoza, Argentina.
Live coverage and highlights will be shown on free-to-air and pay-television channels, while action will also be shown on the Sport1.de website and mobile platforms.
