DAZN, the OTT service that is operated by digital sports media company Perform Group, has acquired exclusive rights for events operated by the FIH, hockey’s global governing body.
The deal will cover Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and will run until 2018.
Under the agreement, more than 250 games will be shown live via DAZN, starting with the Hockey World League semi-finals next week.
Other events covered by the deal include the men’s and women’s World Cups, which will take place next year.
