Sportfive agrees deal with Klitschko brothers

The Sportfive agency has agreed a deal with the Klitschko Management Group to distribute the worldwide media rights – excluding Germany, Ukraine and North America – to fights involving Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, until 2013.

The upcoming world heavyweight title fight between Wladimir Klitschko and challenger Tony Thompson in Switzerland on July 7 is the first fight under the new deal. Klitschko will defend his IBF, IBO, WBO, WBA titles at the Stade de Suisse in Bern.

Should a match be agreed between Vitali Klitschko and British boxer David Haye, Sportfive will sell the rights. Haye, who has recently come out of retirement to take on Dereck Chisora in July, has reportedly turned down an offer to fight Vitali Klitschko in September.
