Sports Channel Network renews Golfing World deal

Sports Channel Network (SCN) has renewed an agreement with the IMG agency to show the Golfing World magazine programme in the UK until the end of the 2020 season.

Weekly episodes of the 2019 Golfing World series, featuring highlights, news, profiles, player tips, resort reviews and behind-the-scenes content, are currently being offered on SCN as part of its golf portfolio.

The OTT video-on-demand channel also provides coverage of the Long Drive World Series, which features a series of golf drive competitions in different countries.

“With coverage of live tournaments often available only behind a Pay-TV wall, SCN is delighted to be able to give UK golf fans excellent content like Golfing World, when they want, and free of charge,” SCN chief executive Paul Coster said.

SCN is available in the UK via an online app and on digital-terrestrial television through the Freeview and YouView services.

IMG distributes Golfing World to platforms that reach about 450 million households worldwide.
