Canadian pay-television broadcaster Rogers Sportsnet has expanded its Thursday Night Football rights deal with American football league the NFL and has launched a new live streaming service.
Sportsnet’s current Thursday Night Football deal will now include multimedia rights and additional games, beginning with the upcoming 2014-15 season.
The coverage will include all 14 Thursday Night Football games, two Saturday games and all three match-ups on the traditional US Thanksgiving Day in November.
NFL fans in Canada will also be able to watch games on their tablets, smartphones, laptops, and desktop computers through the new Sportsnet Now service. Sportsnet Now will offer all of the broadcaster’s television programming and events via computers, tablets and smartphones for customers with a Sportsnet television subscription.
The service is currently available to Rogers customers on an exclusive preview.
