UCI Women’s WorldTour event the Ladies Tour of Norway has appointed the Spring Media agency to market its global broadcast rights and handle its production needs.
The agreement has been signed ahead of the seventh edition of the Tour, which takes place from August 13 to 16.
The competition, hosted in southeastern Norway, will hold four stages of close to 550 kilometres in total, while also crossing over to neighbouring Sweden.
Roy Moberg, race director at Ladies Tour of Norway, said: “We expect this partnership to give us a stronger foothold internationally through more extensive global distribution, while upholding a high-quality distribution nationally.
“Spring Media is innovative in its solutions, particularly when it comes to digital platforms. We wish to be innovative in relation to the TV product that we’re developing, with care for stable production solutions while also attracting a younger crowd through digital exposure.”
The Stockholm-based agency was recently appointed to distribute international broadcast rights to the 2020 edition of tennis’ Tie Break Tens, as reported by SportBusiness. In other business, Spring Media also recently issued an invitation to tender for broadcast rights to floorball’s Swedish Super League from 2020-21 to 2024-25.
