The Professional Squash Association has released details of its broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2016-17 season, with more live tournaments than ever before set to be made available.
In total, more than 450 matches from 20 tournaments will be broadcast live through the PSA’s SquashTV digital platform, which is hosted by Eurosport Player, the online on-demand channel of international sports broadcaster Eurosport.
New tournaments available on SquashTV during the 2016-17 season include the Open International de Squash de Nantes, the Al Ahram International and the Wadi Degla Women’s Open.
The first tournament of the 2016-17 season to be broadcast live by SquashTV will be the Hong Kong Open, which takes place from August 23-28. Nine more events will be shown before the end of the year, with a further 10 during 2017.
The PSA in December agreed a five-year rights deal with Eurosport spanning 2016 to 2020. The agreement also named Eurosport as the new home of SquashTV in Europe.
