Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG SSR has agreed a four-year extension to its rights deal with the Swiss Football Association (SFV) for national team games and domestic club competition the Swiss Cup.
The new contract takes in the 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons and covers television and online broadcast rights.
Under the terms of the deal, SRG SSR will broadcast all friendly games played by the Swiss national team in Switzerland, along with all matches from the Swiss Cup during the four seasons.
In addition, SRG SSR has secured rights to all of the Swiss women’s team’s matches, along with age group teams running from Under-15 to Under-21 level and the Swiss Football Awards.
SRG SSR has already acquired the rights to all of Switzerland’s qualifying games for the Euro 2016 and 2018 Fifa World Cup competitions in a separate deal with European football’s governing body Uefa.
