Indian telecommunications company Reliance Communications has agreed a partnership with pan-Asian pay-television broadcaster Star Sports to offer live mobile streaming coverage in India of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) 2013 Champions Trophy tournament, which is currently taking place in England and Wales.
Under the deal, Reliance customers can access unlimited live coverage of all Champions Trophy matches on their smartphones by subscribing to a tournament pass for Rs301 (€4.1/$5.3).
Reliance serves as a commercial partner of the ICC, while Star Sports is the global governing body’s official broadcast partner.
