Singaporean pay-television broadcaster StarHub has agreed a rights deal for the World Rugby Sevens Series.
The deal will run for four years, from 2016 to 2019.
StarHub will serve as the official broadcaster of the Singapore round of the rugby union sevens national team series and will provide live coverage on free-to-air channel Supersports Arena.
All remaining World Rugby Sevens Series rounds will be broadcast on StarHub’s in-house SuperSports channels, which can be accessed via television, online and mobile devices.
Live event coverage will be supported by World Rugby Sevens Series updates on ‘SuperSports360’, a daily sports show that is available on Supersports Arena. On-air advertisements for the series will also be shown across StarHub’s pay-television platforms.
In addition, StarHub customers can benefit from a 15-per-cent discount when they purchase tickets to the World Rugby Singapore Sevens event, which this year takes place at the country’s National Stadium from April 16-17.
