The Sunset+Vine|APP division of UK sports production and media company Sunset+Vine has reached an agreement with the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) to provide live host broadcast coverage of the medal races at three of its Sailing World Cup regattas.
Along with covering the showpiece events in Hyères, Weymouth and Portland, Sunset+Vine|APP will also oversee international news coverage.
Medal races in Hyères, France will be broadcast live on the ISAF website on April 26, with UK events in Weymouth and Portland following on June 14.
The racing will be available to watch in 2D and 3D via live tracking on the ISAF’s Sailviewer-3D tablet app, which is compatible with devices with seven inch screens or greater.
Andrew Preece, managing director of Sunset+Vine|APP, said: “We have worked with ISAF over a number of years to produce coverage of the ISAF Olympic Classes World Championships in Perth in 2011 and in Santander in 2014. In conjunction with our distribution department Sunset+Vine International we also distributed live programming to 24 broadcasters and 45 territories worldwide.
“Our goal is to now work with ISAF to establish the ISAF Sailing World Cup globally and to provide Olympic classes coverage – news and live – to broadcasters around the world in the buildup to Rio 2016.”
