UK sports production and media company Sunset+Vine has been awarded the production contract for pay-television broadcaster BT Sport’s coverage of the Uefa Europa League club football competition from the 2015-16 season.
The deal will see Sunset+Vine deliver a mix of host broadcast and support programming covering the competition.
Sunset+Vine is already involved in BT Sport's coverage of English Premier League football and English Premiership and European Champions Cup rugby union.
Jeff Foulser, chairman of Sunset+Vine, said: “We continue to be BT Sports' primary production partner and we’re very proud to be playing a part in the continuing success of their channels.”
In November 2013, BT acquired exclusive live UK rights for the Champions League and Europa League from 2015-16. BT agreed to pay about £299m (€352.4m/$478.9m) per season for the rights for three years, from 2015-16 to 2017-18, dislodging commercial broadcaster ITV and rival pay-television broadcaster BSkyB as rights-holders in the UK.
