Pay-television broadcaster SuperSport, which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, will show coverage of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, a new football competition for South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) academy teams.
SuperSport will provide live coverage of the tournament, which will start on September 13 in KwaZulu Natal before moving on to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Bloemfontein.
The programming, which will be produced by SuperSport, will also be made available to community television channels on the DStv pay-television platform.
The deal is part of an agreement by SuperSport’s parent company, MultiChoice, to support the development of the new league and other corporate social responsibility projects in partnership with the PSL.
SuperSport, with the assistance of production interns, will produce a weekly magazine programme as well as the live coverage.
