Swedish public-service broadcaster SVT has expanded its coverage of the International Ski Federation (Fis) Nordic Ski World Cup by acquiring rights for events from the series taking place in Finland.
SVT acquired the rights in a deal with the Infront Sports and Media agency for three seasons, from 2013-14 to 2015-16.
The rights cover live, delayed and highlights coverage of all Finnish Fis World Cup events in the cross country, ski jumping and Nordic combined disciplines.
In January, Infront agreed a rights distribution deal for Nordic Ski World Cup and national skiing events in Finland with the Finnish Ski Association. The deal covers domestic and international rights and runs for five years, from 2013-14 to 2017-18.
