The Telesport agency has acquired exclusive rights in Russia to LaLiga, the top football division in Spain, according to Kommersant.
Alexander Vainshtein, the deputy director general of the agency, told the Russian daily newspaper that the “long-term” deal would run for “more than two years.”
Telesport will reportedly show the bulk of the games via the internet.
The agency struck a deal with the Vkontakte social media platform to offer the first round of LaLiga games at the weekend.
