The Australian National Basketball League club competition has extended and expanded its partnership with telecommunications company Telstra.
Under the agreement, Telstra will continue to serve as the league’s official technology partner during the 2016-17 season.
As part of the expanded deal, Telstra mobile customers will receive access to live coverage of the league through the Telstra TV streaming service. Every game during the 2016-17 campaign will be covered by the service.
NBL executive director Larry Kestelman said: “One of our main priorities is to create Australia’s most innovative, technology-driven sports entertainment product where fans can access content 24/7, live and on-demand, wherever they are in Australia and, where possible, internationally.”
Kestelman said more digital media and broadcast announcements would be made in the coming weeks.
Telstra also holds similar partnerships with the AFL Aussie rules football competition and the National Rugby League.
