US cable-television operator Time Warner Cable has acquired regional rights for Major League Soccer matches featuring FC Dallas.
The deal will run for at least one year, until the end of 2013.
Time Warner Cable will exploit the rights on its regional pay-television channel, SportsChannel, which will show 22 of the team’s regular-season games live, including 10 home matches and 13 away games.
Time Warner Cable replaces incumbent broadcaster Fox Sports Southwest, a division of US network Fox.
